interconnected electronic components of devices such as common beepers or
pagers to computer systems etc. The circuits are formed with a thin layer of
conducting material deposited or "printed" on the surface area of an
insulating board called a substrate. The individual electronic components are mounted
on the substrate surface area and soldered to the interconnecting circuits.
